Infant, Toddlers and Preschool
Infants
At Scribbles, we believe that the first three years of a child's life are crucial for their development and learning. Recent research suggests that up to 50% of what an individual learns over a lifetime happens by the age of 3. That's why we've created a curriculum that is tailored to the specific needs of infants, toddlers, and twos.

Our curriculum is based on the nationally recognized and tested Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines, and the Illinois Birth to Three Standards. It's designed to provide a variety of stimulating and engaging activities that will help your baby grow and learn.

At Scribbles, we focus on four key areas of development - social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. Our experienced teachers plan activities that challenge and interest children, and provide optimal learning and development for every child. We believe that learning and development go hand in hand, and we're dedicated to providing an environment that is responsive to each child's needs.

Toddlers
At Scribbles, we believe that the first three years of a child's life are crucial for their development and learning. Recent research shows that up to 50% of what a child learns in their lifetime may happen before age 5, with some studies suggesting it may even happen as early as age 3.

At Scribbles, we focus on four areas of development – social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language – and promote these through fun and engaging experiences that challenge and interest children. Some examples of these experiences include:
-
Helping children regulate their emotions, behavior and attention through various learning opportunities
-
Building social skills through one-on-one interactions and small group activities
-
Introducing mathematical concepts through materials and objects of various textures, shapes, and sizes
-
Using the senses to learn about the environment, solve problems, and make things happen
-
Engaging in literacy experiences such as songs, rhymes, interactive games and various types of books
-
Providing opportunities to learn about art, music, drama and dance in all of its cultural diversity

Our skilled teachers are dedicated to providing optimal learning and development for every child, and our curriculum is centered on the responsive environment in which kids learn. Want to give your child the best start in life? Join Scribbles today!
Preschool
At Scribbles, we use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool as the foundation for our curriculum. It's a research-based curriculum that focuses on six key areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, The Arts, and Technology. But what sets it apart is that it's play-based, which means kids learn by having fun.

Plus, The Creative Curriculum has been proven to be effective in multiple studies. It leads to better classroom quality, less discipline problems, and stronger academic and social skill development.

Our classrooms are designed to make learning fun. We have centers for Dramatic Play, Technology, Arts and Crafts, Building Blocks, Quiet Time Reading, Science and Math, and Carpet and Table Games. Children get free-choice time to explore these centers, as well as teacher-guided activity time.

Our teachers and families work together as partners to assess and reflect on each child's progress and development. This helps us make sure that we're always doing what's best for your child.

In addition, we believe that reading is a crucial part of early development. Our centers are print-rich and give kids plenty of opportunities to read and write.
